PASSWORDS & Posting - continued
hi all
ok so there seems to a fair bit of confusion for new members and members with less than 10 posts what they need to do to enter our private tournaments ...
4kingpoker want you to play in our games and win our money ;-)
so this is basically the same information that is all over the forum on any post with "where is the password in" and in the post above just written a different way -
the automated password PM's ONLY go out to members with 10+ posts
So - Either get posting asap so that we have you as making 10+ posts by 24hrs BEFORE a tournament OR if you make your 10+ posts later than that and miss the auto password PM then PM me "scrawnybob" with an individual request for the password and I will try to get it to everyone
GENERAL NOTES ON PASSWORDS & POSTING
firstly all the information is in the introductory email every new member recieves -
but no matter here it all is again
1) Why are 10+ DECENT posts are required for passwords
To be able to play in our private tournaments you need 10+ DECENT posts - this is an absolute rule for the freerolls but is flexible for the buy-ins. We have a posting requirement so that they dont just become a free-for-all of non members which makes it better for you - the members
NB. I might send out the password PM's for the buy-in to players with less than 10 posts but not freerolls and to access either in the forum you will need 10+ DECENT posts
2) How do I get the passwords
Passwords are sent out via PM to all members with 10+ DECENT posts generally around 24hrs before each tournament - if you dont have 10+ DECENTposts then you won't get the reminders
If you are a late joiner or you have made your 10+ posts later than this time you will have missed the automatic PM with the password - all is NOT lost - So long as you have made 10+ posts contact me (scrawnybob) via PM and I will try to send it out to you individually
Please bear in mind the closer to tournament start times the less I appreciate PM's asking me how to get the password / or PM's from members who havent made the 10 posts or generally people who are rude or indifferent.
3) Post Quality - posts dont have to be a mile long or works of literary genius - but use common sense ...
at least 2 sentences / 2 lines ... that actually make sense and are relevant to the thread your posting in
NEW MEMBERS - Please only introduce yourself ONCE in one of the country / regional threads and make at least 9 more posts in other NON introductory threads.
the same cut and paste post x 10 will get deleted ... doesn't count
saying hi 10 times in exactly the same way ... doesn't count & get deleted
asking 10 times how you get the password ... doesn't count & get deleted
making 10 following on posts each one pointless sentence long - irritates me ... also doesn't count & gets deleted
posting gibberish x10 is just a pain in the a** for me to delete and makes everyone think your a muppet ... also doesn't count & gets deleted
For existing and higher posting active members - It's fine to post several different hi's / hello posts to other people in the main (please dont reply in individual threads as these get merged into the country / region threads) - that's cool but try and relate it to the other posts then we're all being friendly and thats extra good.
I appreciate we have members from all over the world and language can be an issue but
in most cases non English speakers have made the effort to make far better posts than some native English speakers just trying to get the passwords - so no excuses
There are hundreds of threads in the forum - just say hi to the forum (once) and then reply to 9 more posts with something halfway useful or helpful and your there ;-)
