Hi there new to the forum and hope to see everyone at the tables. For what it's worth i think freerolls are an excellent way to begin learning the game. However all freerolls are not equal and it pays to hunt around a bit to get a good deal. This hit home for me when i'd played for over three hours on Partypoker against a huge field to cash for around 11 cents! The winner only received around $10.
If you are anything at all like a profitable player then this is a huge waste of your time.
The standard of play in freerolls is often crazy with all ins every hand and because of this it could be argued that playing against poor players won't help you improve your game that much. I think playing micro stakes sngs is a much better place to cut your poker teeth.
