Default solid allin preflop hands

hi

I would agree that you should play all high pocket pairs stong preflop - AA, KK, QQ, JJ

and particularly important with these hands is that you reduce the number of player in the hand PREFLOP to one opponent

that may require and all-in but certainly a big bet

with AA & KK I would be happy to get all my money in preflop (in most situations)

with QQ JJ (10 10) I wouldn't be so keen unless I was short stacked which would change the approach dramatically - but I would want to control the hand and reduce opponents calling range with a very substancial preflop bet

assuming you've got all your money in with AA or KK preflop then the decision is already made but with QQ JJ etc then you really need to be prepared to reconsider you moves based on the flop

if the flop comes Ace or King then you have to consider your QQ or JJ is no longer good as alot of players will call or make all-in moves with AK or A- K-

hope thats a help

cheers scrawnybob
