Anything is possible
First of all, it is possible to bluff, but in freerolls, just forget it, unless there are just a few players left.
But in any cases to shake down a guy with highest pair is extremely hard, even at professional tables, and even with a 4 kicker you will get the call in 9 out of 10 cases. Have that in mind when you have a monster kicker, or your lucky 2 pairs.
But did you play the hand correctly, bare in mind that you only have the quess as an out, so you are a massive underdog, the playing itself with representing isnt half bad, and I guess your only chance to get him to fold was an all in. But when you see it from his perspective, you see you didnt raise or anything so he probably put you on an ace too, and if I were in his shoes I wouldnt have had BIG problems to make the call, and I guess by the way this normally works in freerolls, I guess I would have won, or tied, in at least 5 or 6 of them out of ten....
