I wish I would have joined this forum just a couple of months earlier!
I'd been playing freerolls for a few years or so and had built up a bankroll at Carbon Poker of about $15 all without depositing. One day my husband convinced me to spend $3.30 on a $650 guaranteed tourney with 1 rebuy allowed before the first break.
Well, I did it! It was the first actual money over tourney over 0.60 I'd entered with my freeroll winnings and was kinda nervous...lol. My husband sat there and cheered me on, not telling me how to play, mind you, he knows better...lol. Anyway...when the first break came I was way UP and I never had to rebuy. Unbelievably, I made it to 20th place and had more than doubled my buy in...my first goal..Then after a few VERY exciting huge All-ins, I had made it to the Final Table!!
I could be happy, happy, happy...even if I went out now. But..I ended up WINNING!!...With all the rebuys 1st place ended up being $227.
IF I had known about Chris from this forum...I MAY have been closer to $10,000 by now
. But, I decided to withdraw some and have fun with the rest for awhile...I ended up winning another tourney the next week, taking in about $92 in winnings and bounties from players I'd knocked out. Once again, I just decided to play with it...I am still up about $50 at Carbon Poker, but have recently joined Full Tilt so I need to get busy there too..
Now, thanks to 4kingpoker.com forums, I know how to handle my bankroll better, we'll see what happens next time...
