Default poker rooms and league games

hi

I think jacks maybe didnt put his point across too subtley - I think what he was getting at is we do get new members who haven't yet got the hang of how the site / leagues etc works and in order to get 10+ post minimum to qualify for the password they post up not very relevant or critical posts (without fully understanding reasons why or how we do things)

that isnt to say this is specifically or just you - but it maybe that you caught the tail end of jacks reading other new members posts and we as a tad reactionary

yes the forum is for people to discuss everything poker - but there are times when more established members are likely to feel new members / less active members are in less of a position to criticise - but as always I'm happier to mediate and fill everyone in with info etc

so dont take it personally - Jacks was just looking at it from a different perspective and having no doubt read alot more posts by new members expecting games only to be run 24/7at the site they already play etc etc

anyway getting back to the subject in hand

the UIGEA has not made it illegal for poker players to play online in the US ... it has made the banking and deposit processing etc illegal ... but only for the sites and the banks ... not the players ... some state law may affect players directly but that is under different state laws

some sites have withdrawn from the US market but many remain

internet poker is generally legal in Europe ... and any countries trying to outlaw it are coming up against the European Union legislation for anti competition rules etc

league games

general point to all members: yes potentially we have 8 sites you'd need to signup to if you wanted to play both leagues but the general idea is ...

most members probably already play 2 out of the 4 sites in each league - if they are freeroll players than to be honest I cant see the problem with signing up to another couple of new sites via our links - it's free and members get to play in private $50 freerolls

We have consolidated these as when we were doing freerolls we would play / try more sites I think now we have a more settled formula for the leagues now

cheers scrawnybob
