Because there are too many ways to get to the passwords.
There are even sites (like pokerfreerollpasswords) where members from forums are giving away private passwords. So if we want to solve this problem the only way is a list.

this idea has been brought up a few times b4 it is a good idea but some sites and forums don't like to do that.. because of the hassel i think...but i don't know alot about the business side of this all
P.S: oblivious23 it says u have some posts here i don't remember the name but i for sure would have remembered ur avatar had i seen it on here b4 you must have just put it on recently.....i find it disrespectful to this forum to advertise another one on ur avatar.....but that is just my opinion
