Q1: I would go away to the quiest, nature surrounded and relaxing place I've ever been or felt.
This is mine 
30 miles from my island, only 4 families leave on this place full year, accessible by sea or a 5km walk. That means no "urban civilization", no cars, only nature sound and relaxation.
Would take books, articles and vids for proper study and preparation.
Q2: I would buy-in the WSOPE main event in UK, MonteCarlo's expenses would drain my 25k. Believe me, I've been there...
Would rent a very nice autocaravan, pick the right friends, and travel to London enjoying sights and places along european roads, witch is a unique and fulfill experience, and it would do wonders to my peacefulness toward the event.
The caravan would be my hotel, I would have a "my place" feeling and also can park in greeny London Boroughs. My friends would do the driving, and I would be in a familiar environment.
Q3 & Q4: I would give him the 25k back, and offer a dinner at my hotel-caravan. Explain him that by picking me and backing me, in the case of winning, the media and cameras surrounding my winning would boom is nutty milionaire image. Helping a talented but poor guy accomplish his dream, with no interest in the winnings, it's a great tv story and makes wonders to a millionaire image, not to mention potential business opportunities for him.
Daniel, Annete or a 21 y old satellite player winning is nothing new nowadays,
pick me and you'll have a story to sell, nutty friend.
