Default fold 55 to 2x raise ?

hi & welcome BTW

definately not

heads up 55 is a strong hand - and a 2 times raise heads up isnt neccessarily a sign of a strong hand

heads up I'd fairly frequently play rags on a raise / re-raise just to keep them on their toes

so I would definately want to see a flop with 55

and would be quite likely to represent high cards on the flop if they didnt represent them

heads up its about strategy and mind games - not so much the cards - if you have half decent cards to start off with and you'd already decided it was time to play the next hand in a certain way then a pocket pair is a bonus

personally (and other may disagree) I think heads up their is a definate rhythm that you should try and swing into - where your opponent rightly or wrongly expects you to have a good hand now and again - so even if you dont then represent it

even better if right on the next hand after you've pushed them around with rags you get that legitimate hand ... because then they are going to feel your blufifng that one not the last one and give you all their chips

cheers scrawnybob
