It is the ratio of your stack to the current total of the blinds and antes.

Is called Harrington's Q. and is the ratio of your stack to the average stack.

M overides Q or is stronger in weighting than Q.

Depending on your values there are differents zones or methods of play.
Mysterious things may happen in such a short and relevant term for this thread.

i played the railbirds freeroll today (yes KJ they are easy) over 1,000 people in it, bubble place is 160...

so there are 140 of us left, and im getting 99's UTG and decide to limp in for a blind of 1200. a min raise from middle position followed by a call from the big blind...

i decide to throw them ALL-IN and get called by the raiser. BB folds.

so AA against 99 for a 35,000 chips pot... and the nine came!

These situations are not similar though, only the cards are... but taking in consideration that we play for the cash and not for the chips in the end of the day, this was a correct move IMO more than the situation KJ is talking about.

The point is, that 99's are more valueble as an ALL-IN move inside the bubble, even against pocket aces. not in the beginning of a tourney.
