Poker Tournament Strategy

there is a basic tight / loose / tight strategy but really to be effective you need to take on board much more situational strategy given your position relative to others and how far through the tournament you are -

sometimes you can justify risks ... sometimes you cant

sometimes you are better off scrapping into the money ... sometimes you just have to go for it

dont play too loose early ... but also remember a key feature of tournaments which is really really important to recognise ...

the weakest easiest to beat bad bad weak players are in at the start ... not the end

so make sure you get as many of the easy chips on the table at the start as you can as it is only going to get harder as the game progresses
