Spread over about 3 weeks, had to wait for the cloth at one stage. Apart from that most was smooth, especially the skin on my fingers when i'd finished stretching the rail. I'm not joking they were bleeding despite my attempts.
. Most of the time was spent coating the wood, I tested a number of finishes till i was happy.
Worth it at end. The rail I think looks well, and the cards glide on that cloth!!
