common sense rules - rule
hi all
As I think someone (GT or Jacks probably) described me as as benevolent dictator (or something similarly generous while running a democracy with no powers to overthrow etc)
I'm a great believer in common sense rules ... rule
so really if team leaders and team members are able to exercise common sense and see the general aims, what we are try to achieve and what we are trying to avoid ... I dont see any point in making rules set in stone (so long as no-one is planning to split hairs if we come to some tight points decisions
The main reason I wanted to spread the high active posters around ... is so we can ideally get say 20 teams with upwards of 10 members in each team
That might not happen straight away but so long as the teams dont end up hogging / bunching all the best players / most active members into one or two teams ... that's cool
In terms of keeping the team member list secret - that wont really work to well as we need to make sure that we dont end up with duplicate membership (it's possible if people dont use a bit of common) so having the lists / teams all visible means people can check who their with etc ... trust me some will forget
also I dont really see a problem with some of the members who fall between the 10+ and 50+ posts setting up teams if they want to ... again its down to common sense
We want to get members more interested in each other and in the forum activities so it would be good if setting up the teams means that some of the 10+ posters get more involved and also if some of the sub 10+ posters do to
just to give an overview ... we currently have around 600 10+ posters eligible for the passwords etc
under the old 5+ rule we had around 1500-1800 members eligible for the passwords etc
It would be great if we can get more of these members back eligible for the passwords, so teams would be a great incentive for everyone to motivate and be motivated
cheers scrawnybob
ps. good luck with all your team building and I'm Jeffsbabe you can get a ladies squad together - there is easily 10 active ladies in the games
