its a situational call
I don't think any one strategy works best here because it is very dependent on styles of play, chip stacks, position, and the flop/turn/river
Your pocket aces might seem supreme, but there are lots of marginal hands that can kill it.
AA against AK,AQ,AJ,A10....your in decent shape for sure
But any two pair is going to kill you unless there's a pair on the board
The same is true for flush and straight draws
Tips...watch for a flush draw on the board and consider connector cards for a str8
If a pair comes up on the board, be wary of full houses when other players don't back off from big bets
If your going to let it go to the river...certainly keep your bets going, and re-raise where applicable. A re-raise is the most aggressive move you can make. If your opponent follows thru...put yourself in their head to try to figure out what they have, and what they think you might have. Obviously they are playing with the idea they can win....unless they are a total donkey, which isn't beyond the realm of possibility either.
Good luck
