Your bets up until the river I like but with str8 possibilities and him continually calling good sized bets I think a check on the river is called for. What can you really beat just 1 pair and a bluff? So check and allow yourself to win a good sized pot if he is making a move and minimize damage if you are beat.
He definitely should of check raised you. If he had would you, could you of called. Probably not which is why you should of checked.
Like I said it is easy to look back and say do this do that. Much harder to make descision in moment. Hope this helps.
