hi

well personally I wouldn't have put the BB on JQoff calling a 4x raise preflop

Unless you had built a really maniac / stealing table image I'd have folded JQ off in the BB and let the button steal 1 1/2 blinds - If you had seemed like a rock type player ... but if I'd figured you kept putting in a 3x / 4x raise on the button I'd have made a bit of a stand and called

So logically would only really be putting him on calling with decent pocket pair (if the game was fairly tight etc)

There are so many variables - he got lucky to hit on the flop

You could have been legitimately worried he hit trip 10's etc

If you'd checked to see what he did - any bet he made probably wouldn't tell you much - a steal / a made hand your not getting away from it easily

If the flop had been suited and against a good player I would have thought about laying it down - but the guy had balls to call 4x preflop

IMHO a hand like this comes down to table image of both of you

Was this tournie / cash game ?

if tournie how were each of your chip stacks ?

cheers Scrawnybob
