4kingpoker Team Rules - Team Leaders
hi all
The idea of having mini teams within 4kingpoker was discussed a while ago. Now we have some added social group settings on the forum I think we can utilize this for setting up sub teams within the members of 4kingpoker
for the moment this will be purely for bragging rights and a bit more community interaction but if the idea takes off and enough members get involved / like the idea then I will look at adding some additional tournaments for winning teams etc who collectively have scored the most points in our leagues ... so now you could be playing for your self and for your team or clan.
UPDATE: We are very likely to have a team play ONLY league in addition to scoring team points in the regular leages.
ok so here is the drill ... to keep things fair, managable and also admin'd by proven responsible members, mainly so common sense can prevail and minimal rules have to be made ...
RULES (guide & suggestions to team leaders)
1) Only members who have made 25+ posts or are active posters may setup / lead an officially recognised 4kingpoker team or clan (we currently have around 45 VIP members)
2) Maximum members per team will be 20 (STRICTLY)
3) Teams must not be more than 3 over 50+ post members (for the moment)
4) Passwords for the team only league (Team Play Trophy) will only be posted into the team goups message area if the team has 5+ members
Teams must not contain more than 10 previously scoring members (in previous leagues)
These rules are a bit elastic ... But the point is encourage diverse teams and make new friends ... not just create a team from all the active, high posting or high league game scoring members.
We want to get teams going and also motivate 10+ posters to join teams and for sub 10+ posters to join in, post more and be able to play the league games & also to get non posting members active & involved too ... so DONT just try to build the highest previosly scoring team as that isn't really getting in the spirit of things.
4) You must set your team to MODERATED or INVITE to avoid teams growing unexpectantly and also so team leaders have some control over what is happening / who they want to join etc
5) Usual forum rules apply - this is not a chance for lurking webmasters to leverage ad / promo opportunities or spam members etc
HOW TO SET A TEAM UP (for 25+ post members only)
1) go to your profile page (see userCP when logged in)
2) go to "social groups" and create group name ...
this ideally should contain the word TEAM ie. Team xyz or xyz Team
3) make sure group is set to "invite only" or "moderated" NOT "public"
4) here is the 4kingpoker teams group list so potential team members & leaders can see what teams are setup
5) Enter up your team and a link to your team in THIS THREAD ... make the post title the name of your team only. You can also edit your SINGLE post in this thread to update it ... do NOT turn this thread into a chat / discussion thread ... that can be done here ... Discuss 4kingpoker Teams Here or make a separate thread in poker chat section and / or use the features of the social groups within your profile
6) Admin / point scoring etc is going to be down to each group / group leader (given that their will be issues / admin of point scoring) although I will check them now and again I dont want this to turn into an admin nightmare for me ;-)
HOW TO JOIN A TEAM (for members wanting to get an invite)
Check our group of teams list here - 4kingpoker teams list and then select the team you'd like to look at or join and then request to join the team
or look down the list of teams in this thread below and join that way.
Hope this works ok for those that wanted us to get the inter forum team compeition going - and depending on how well it develops I'll put something on tournament wise for maybe the top x best scoring teams in our league games to find the team of teams or somthing
cheers scrawnybob
