hi Disturbed. well i dont know if you played the game or not, i'd like us to continue our discussion.
and another point i want to discuss is "weakness".
you say:
"everybody is playing conservatively until they get short-hande and who ever gets lucky on the showdowns wins."
yes i do have s friend playing like that- meaning not undersranding the difference between 22 and 77, or 99 or aj or ag or even kq (if hes in the big blind and was raised) and theoretically you may base your game on a play like this, because it can hit. on the other hand, any two will do may hit at any given random situation everyone knows that! and sometimes you even may have good streaks and win tournaments like that, well not to win but yes to suckout on a player or two along the way who might of won it. a player who based his game on his skills looking at the long run and surely wasnt expecting this ballsy gambler to hit two pair with rags.
if you are putting money for poker out of your own pocket- this play is not for you.
"I tried playing aggressive and it worked I ended up stealing alot of blinds ppl folded all the time. However, I didnt know when to stop and got myself in trouble."
ok, we do know-AA is the highest pair and everyone woulda be happy to be holding it in every position. it comes rearly, and never when you are shortstacked.
ive watched/played thousands of players like these. sitting and waiting for their big pair before the blinds forced them to make moves.
the consideration must be there at every pot you play ang against every player. if you saw someone beating twice with ak so it sais hes good? no it says that he will most likely fold other hands/wouldnt know what to do if he hasnt a really good looking 2 cards in his hand.
situations like seeing this panicpeople as you say go all-in on top pair with a high pair on a 9 6 3 board while someone was smart enough to limp and disguise the stength of his jacks...
these are only two exampes my friend. reading playing experiencing (and sometimes even losing) is the key to become a better player, not insisting on one place.
