"ohnest" opinion is needed, and cause of that i hope you understand what im saying:
i agree 100% with every word GT said untill the "your gonna love me" part. its poker, the table if a battle field and the strongest survive. give me 1 good reason not to be calling you a donk or a fish or a bird or a fly every time i meet you, because i know it psycologicly distacts you? as players will get to know you by playing you more- they WILL notice that weakness!
im 100% sure it does distract your game to a level, sometimes you just want to switch it all off and rather doing something else instead.
most online poker players play in silence. they are trying to maintain their focus. i personally belive that a player who played 4 tables at the same time, could of done better if hed play the same hands/situations only at 1 table at a time... beeing focused and relaxed is a number 1 rule when you sit down and log - in to the poker site.
few words about the guy- 1. who is he, that you get so pissed cause of him? a road police? an ex husband? he is just a player who is sitting there near his laptop, gets dealt the same cards as you do- but exploites them worse than you
. believe me- he was eating "hisself" for fishing like the blind basile cat, but instead of sucking it like a winner- chooses to bitch about it, by that disturbing and distracting the game.
he is the donk and he is the fish if he doesnt understand, that a little more than the straight was needed to collect that pot on a "flushy" board.
my advice to you. play more agressive. period. not to show them all you have balls, but to understand, realise, guess by that where it is that you stand in a hand. to the speciffic example: 3 people entered the pot and you checked. thats 4 of you overall. you flop the flush and bet minimum to....... what? to build a pot? to see if someone flopped a higher flush? to keep people out of their heigher draw? this 30 bet gave you no information imo on any of the others cards.
turn comes Q of spades... at this stage, do you know you have the best hand? if yes, so what does this 60 bet mean? .... are you trying to buy them out of the pot? or maybe you already know you have the nuts and hope for a re-raise? . the re-raise came (big time) and you made the call. river came blank and you all checked... so you didnt believe in your hand on the turn and stayed there for the straightflush draw?.... but what if another diamond would fall, would you fold to say a 200 bet from that player?
all im saying is- bet your hands msclawdy, people will give you more respect, and you will learn to know where you stand. it is almost impossible for a tight weak player to bluff online, though some say poker is all about it...
i just dont believe you stayed there in the pot, just because you had a straight flush draw
