Don't think there is anything you can do about the way the cards are dealt. It happens to us all from time to time. You said you flopped a straight. How many players were there??? You did not say. I would have not checked (slow played) to give others any free cards. Maybe not gone all in but i would at least bet 4-5x the BB That would have sent the message you have a serious hand. That is the problem with free rolls, To many players playing rags and taking chances they will hit a good hand no matter what someone with a good hand bets.
