That is a common mistake that I have made more than once. You fall in love with your hand and forget that there are others out there that could be better. The best way to prevent this I have found is to constantly think about your opponents. I write notes on them and talk to myself about their play. To keep my mind focused on more than just my cards. My nieghbors probably think I am crazy sitting at my computer at midnight talking to myself but it helps me.
