He got his monster chip stack by going all in with A-3 suited and getting a set, K-6 gets the flush, etc. Just a lucky bully. But most of the table is folding since they don't want an allin showdown.

So just to tell you guys what happened. I checked, flop came 447 rainbow. He pushes allin with k-2 I call. He hits his K on the river.

I knew it wasn't a good call. But i sensed he hit nothing, but was calling with a high card, whereas I had a made hand. We were 5 from the money in the tourney. I however only had 3,200 in chips, which would be pretty short stacked come final table,

It was a gambling decision, It didn't pay off.

But the question is: I read him correctly, I had a chance to double it up. In my estimation I had to make it through the turn and the river. So still a bad call?
OKAY... let me get this correctly... You're on the bb with 6-6, SB is bigstack bully and super loose.
Normally, holding 66 on bb with SB just calling,.. I'm going to raise it up a bunch, 3.5-4xbb (or whatever depending upon situation,.. ie. 'M', how my play has been perceived on the table, etc. etc... list goes on...).
6-6 is a good hand 'heads-up' cuz facing off with the SB is the same as bein' HeadsUP. I raise in an effort to take it down immed. By raising, now if the SB calls, he's going to be more likely to be a bit more hesitant to be if he doesn't connect with the flop or he should just fold right away. Sounds like he knows his chances are good by just shoving his stack in and forcing his opponents to a decision. I much prefer to be trying to put my opponents to the task of making a decision.
Depending on chipstack sizes, and where you're at in the tourney (like what is your 'M' here at this time?... how has your play been perceived so far at the table... are you known for showing down strong hands?). If you're got under 5M I'd just shove back on SB 'allin'. (it's difficult for me to give an answer as to what I personally would do,... all the plays prior to the one I'm currently involved in have bearing on what I would do in one particular situation,... but to suggest what play may have been what I would've done here,... hard to say without a bunch more info.).
You see alot of players like that online in micro buy-ins,... great players to double up through.
GL!
