Default Provisional league game plans for next season

    hi all

This is the latest provisional schedule for next seasons games starting early / mid Jan 2009

AMENDEDMENT - We wont be adding any new host sites for the next season (ie partypoker) - as this makes things complicated to balance the number of games and the number of sites in a league to make it practical - we can review it for the season after that

There will not be any open league freerolls

we will however have occasional non league freerolls which will ONLY be open to member and visitors who have signed up to the host site via 4kingpoker links (see reviews etc)

We may also have some open freerolls occasionally - but these will definately NOT be part of any league

below is a rough overview of my amended plans for the next season of games, leagues and team only leagues - they may still be subject to change but we will be having at least 3 months off from open freerolls in the leagues

here are my provisional plans for sites, days and formats for the leagues in the New Year Season ... assuming tests with the locked password area help things at the end of this season

provisionally the season will still run over 3 months as before

    US Open League V

$1 buy-in $50 added games on Thursdays at 7pm EST (US open sites)
total of 12 games running at 3 US Open sites (4 at each)

    Bodog Poker - four $1 buy-ins with $50 added

    Carbon Poker - four $1 buy-ins with $50 added

    PokerStars - four $1 buy-ins with $50 added

    Non US League V

$1 buy-in $50 added games on Thursdays at 2pm EST (7pm GMT) - (non US sites)
total of 12 games running at 3 Non US sites (4 at each)

    PKR Poker - four $1 buy-ins with $50 added

    Titan Poker - four $1 buy-ins with $50 added

    Hollywood Poker - four $1 buy-ins with $50 added

Carbon Poker TPT III (Team Play Trophy - team only league)

$1 buy-ins with $50 added games on Sundays 5pm EST
total of 12 games at Carbon Poker (TEAM ONLY)

Full Tilt Poker TOC I (Team Only Cup - team only league)

$1 buy-ins with $50 added games on Sundays 3pm EST
total of 12 games at FullTilt Poker (TEAM ONLY)

    4kingpoker signups only freerolls

these will only be open to new and existing signups to sites via our 4kingpoker links
they wont be part of any league and will be run on an adhoc basis at popular and new sites worth trying

provisionally these signup only freerolls will be on Tuesdays at either 2pm EST (7pm GMT) or 7pm EST

but some games may be schduled on Sundays

    In Summary

The Non US league and US Open league will now be only on the buy-in night (Thursdays) and will run over 12 games

There wont be another FTvPS league on Sundays with mixed freerolls and double games because frankly these were the most crashed freerolls and games. Pokerstars will be moved into the US Open league with a few games.

(originally In thought about adding a 4th site to each of the buy-in leagues but this would have meant 3 games at 4 sites ... I feel its better to stick with 4 games at 3 sites ... this means partypoker will not be added for this season)

It also means cake poker will be dropped from the US Open league and replaced with PokerStars - partly for balance and also because we offer all our Cake Poker signups the maximum allowed 33% rakeback and therefore cant fund tournaments and rakeback for cake.

The Carbon team only league will continue but with a $1 buy-in only format.

To replace the FTvPS league we will be running half the number of games (one Sunday time slot) but all at FullTilt & all $1 buy-ins - ideally I would like to make this a team only league ... so we can continue growing the team idea ... however it maybe that the passwords are posted in the new password area and effective make it open to eligible members (even if not in a team) but as they are buy-ins I'm pretty sure members will either already be in a team or get in one pretty quick

    cheers scrawnybob

ps. as a footnote to the plans here is a rough overview of the locked password area plans and new posting rules etc ...

the new locked password area will mean I dont have to send password PM's via PM and will add more control

the locked password area will only be accesible by members who have made 10+ posts in the last 60 days (and new members will need to have made 10+ decent posts and allow 24hrs after 10th post for access)

I freaking love it. I'm more than stoked about the new system going forward and I for one cannot wait. COME GET ME 4KINGERS! I love having just the two games on Sunday I think that will help in allowing people to focus instead of playing three in one day. I think the ratio of FR to Buyin on the Open leagues is perfect. It all looks superb, I can tell you really took time in designing what would be best for you and the community. CHEERS AND THANKS!

    Thank you Scrawnybob

This looks really good and I hope it will help getting back to the game level we had. Defenetly this desing should drive our members to a more active level when wanting to play in our league games and aswell in the team play games.

Ther reduction on sundays to only two team games is most probably a gain as we can concentrate better on the games to play and do have less hazzle to shuffle the time free for them.

Non US League IV: I hope we get PartyPoker in as the additional room. I like it and the games are normaly pretty fast and since last software update it has improofed very much.

Thanks for a great job you have done.

    Cheers snowfish

    Default addition of partypoker

    hi

yep I should be able to swing getting Party onboard even if it means I fund them all - I havent had a chance to update the Party Poker review but its much improved software makes a huge difference to me wanting to recommend it

Its obviously one of the biggest non US rooms and soft games and plenty of traffic - all good, IMHO the software used to let it down - now you can choose the old skool look or the new software which is better + the lobby isnt quite the disaster zone it used to be

    cheers scrawnybob

looks like a pretty sweet set up to me.....im pretty pumped...i would be lieing if i said winning wasn't important...but to me it is more about playing a nice relaxing game with some friends...and i am sure the added fact that they are mostly buy ins and the new locked PW thread will drastically reduce the number of crashers

I agree with all the above posts and a BIG TY to you Bob. The schedule looks perfect to me. Never played for cash on Party so I guess I'll just have to deposit.

I like the New season plans .

The 2x1 relation between Freerolls and buy-ins, and only buy-ins for team games are great ideas.

The 10 posts policy for the last 2 months in active members also liked, but for new members, can be a better idea if raise the first 10 posts to 15 or 20??, because it looks really easy to get access to the PW page with only 10 posts, for the buy ins i think is ok, but for the freerolls maybe 20 or 15 it can be better.

Maybe we can have a PW page for buyins with 10 post rule, and other for freerolls with 20 or 15 post rule. Mostly of the sites now ask for 50 posts, 15 or 20 looks fine, and if you need 10 to a buy in, i think is fair that cost a little more work for a freemoney game, and if they going to give the PW away at least that cost little more work than now, after the first 15 or 20 we need to have 10 in 2 months, so is not much to ask.

All the rest i think is great.

    Thanks for all the efforts.
