Can we discuss poker - not rules / passwords endlessly

hi all

this is an appeal to all members

can we get back to (or start) discussing poker - strategy, tips etc etc ...

anything really appart from endlessly posting about passwords / rules / tournaments etc

otherwise its seems to be all about what tournaments are in it for everyone rather than having a forum to discuss poker that also has tournaments for active members to play in

back in the day I seem to remember we started out with a very small offering on tournaments (which everyone was just happy to be able to play) and the focus was on posting and being active in the forum, discussing poker and learning from each other etc

please remember our tournaments & leagues are PART of what 4kingpoker forum is about NOT the ONLY reason to be a member - bring in the new active posting rules may have ruffled a few feathers - it's suprised me just how much members seem to have come to expect / demand tournaments without it seems wanting to put something back into the forum in return ;-(

I've been (and will continue to run) alot of open tournaments relative to our size and certainly relative to what I know other webmasters would be prepared to plough back into their forums just for the benefit of members

but many much bigger forums like 2+2 and other forums dont run open tournaments

eg. I've just looked at another forum / site which I know makes a fortune from its content and reviews ... its got 30,000+ members in the forum ...

and they only offer ONE open game per week - a $10 buy-in at pokerstars with ZERO added

ALL the rest of their games are strictly only for their signups to a new site etc

so please - can we put an end to suggestions / complaints etc about the tournaments - be grateful (or not) for what's on offer ... and get posting

please appreciate even though you dont have to have signed up to the sites via our links (we appreciate it if you do for new ones to you) but its NOT a condition of the games ...

but being active in the forum IS and thats a really small price to pay IMHO ... so get posting

who knows you / we might all learn something / enjoy discussing poker / find posting is a reward in itself rather than looking at as some obstical or chore to get passwords ;-)

Hello Mr.Scrawnybob, You've made a great point that this forum is to help and learn the techniques to becoming a better poker player and I do appreciate all the feedback embers give when posting answer's or tips. It's just that 4 Kings through me for a loop right in the middle of a league. So in the future I'll not post about it anymore. Thanks for having these great tournaments for all members that play here at 4 Kings. L8R
