I was not even going to bother! With my work schedule, then with my only time off I gotta take care of things that I cannot during the week, I tried to join a team (you know who's) then never got passwords or when I got them they (tourneys) started at 7:00pm. I get done work at 8:00pm. Then I saw a couple listed on week-ends, would sign up, then something would happen ie had to go to store, was visiting grandbabies...and or I just simply forgot about them.
So when I saw the new rules I thought I would try to post a few while I had the time.
If they're too closely posted for your liking TOO Bad! My life does not revolve around this forum, there used to be a time(not so long ago) that a "hello" or announcement of some good news would be good enough. I guess my life is too boring and too busy.
If my posts are not good enough to fall in the "required rules" then I am sure scrwanybob will let me know and I will be saying Goodbye and hope yall have a good life and maybe I'll see ya at a table somewhere!

they are the default settings afiaks - we have set it so members cant just send out loads of negative feedback on the same member although there should be enough to be able to turn the green to red

unlss Ive missed something I dont think kingjames would have been referring to your posts

it IS perfectly possible to make 10 legitmate worth reading posts in 10 minutes BUT most dont manage to if they are just trying to do it in 10 minutes

but it is possible and plenty of members are managing to make resonable posts to continue to get passwords

as Ive said before - ANY negative posts in the forums about other members posts will / can get deleted - if members have issues with post quality the correct way to deal with it is to send me a report post and NOT reply in the thread especially not negatively - it reflects badly on the forum and creates ill-will which members cannot measure but I can see

so please in everyones enthusiasm to improve the forum - please remember the goal is to improve the quality AND activity in the forum - not every post is going to be a stroke of literay genuis or poker strategy that doesnt mean its a bad post

IMHO its pretty obvious what is a bad post - or more importantly a collection of bad posts from a member who isnt making an effort

I certainly DONT think you fall into that category MsClawdy

My apologies. It just seemed that right after I made a few posts, that that was posted, I was not paying attn to time, I just had some(a few minutes) and thought I'd try to make a few.(posts)
It is a hectic and sad not merry time of year for me. And I will post when I'm able.
KingJames and I started out as buddies and I hope we can continue to be (We only live about 15 or so miles away from each other! but have never met)

well hello to you too Clawdy.....i didnt even notice ur posts.....and i have never reported ur posts for any reason....the main ones i am talkin about are new members that come and spam a bunch of 1 liners just to get the post count to assess the PW section...some i try to report fast so they can be deleted quick b4 the person that only comes here to post 10 real fast and wait till the next day to get in the tournies cant get them

yep just to let you all know - new members cannot get access to the password section for 24hrs

but unfortunately that doesnt stop them trying and making 10 junk posts

the sad thing is that they can only have read that they need 10+ quality posts (to know this) in the same threads / posts that also state clearly that they cannot access the passswords for 24hrs AND that the posts need to be quality

the reality is that they only read / see what they want to see - there isnt really a way to overcome this - however now we are moving to a buy-in only format on all the league games - hopefully this will discourage new members from not following the rules - as the freeroll factor seems to directly relate to new members lack of reading the rules
