password & posting rules

hi all

just an update ...

after much thought & having weighed up the pros and cons - again and again

I have amended the rules for access to the locked buy-in and league password area

so now its as it used to be

10+ posts total & members need to be a member for 24hrs before accessing the passwords

the 60 / 90 day rule is now CANCELLED

put simply the decent posters - post regardless of rules ... but having the 60 day or 90 day rule just attracts pointless posts from members who really dont seem to care about why the rules were changed - so its been a waste of time trying to improve things this way

In addition there will NOT be any open freerolls in leagues or generally -
the leagues will remain buy-ins only

any freerolls we run will be strictly for those members / visitors who have signed up to the host poker room via 4kingpoker's links - this removes any need for passwords

Hmmmm ...Bit unfair to us that have not used your links to sign up and as I was already registered at all your sites b4 I registered here I am screwed for freerolls, but what the hell...freerolls are a lottery anyway.

I don't know if that part is still accurate since the xmas freerolls were open to everyone, (and I do mean EVERYONE).

yes indeed the freerolls were open to all members (and so it seems alot of non members)

the crucial part is that I will NOT be running any open any (10 post) members freerolls as part of a league

we might have the odd open freeroll and we may get more signup freerolls

the three different formats are not really related

the signup freerolls would be part of a bonus package negotiated with the room (which I probably wouldnt have to fund the freerolls)

the open freerolls would not be part of a league - but wouldnt be very secure from password sharers as they never are - which is why we dont do them for choice when league etc

the leagues are ring fenced from having freerolls in them so the scores etc dont end up screwed up because of idiot password sharers
