Forum Members & PKR

There may be in the future "some thing" going down for members who signed up to PKR from THIS forum, ( I will need to talk to Bob about it) before it happens I need to know how many members signed up through 4kings. I dont need to know your user names at the mo.

I signed up at PKR through 4kingpoker's link and i'm glad i did as i played the restricted $500 tourney last december to earn some good money from 4kp.

from what i understand, bob has said that there is a very large number of PKR sign ups thru the 4king link...i just don't think many of them have become members or are active in the forum

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt PKR closed to US players? I coulda sworn that I read it somewhere.......

Yeah I mean I have never created an account there, so if they accept US players...I could give it a while and represent 4KingPoker.

yep just to add - PKR is closed to US players

but it is also by far our most popular site with vistors - maybe not so many members of the forum for some reason ... I supose with 50% ish of forum members being US that reduces the potential numbers - but our signups at PKR.com is close to the equivalent of 1/2 the forum - just not actually forum members

Not sure what GT had in mind - but I know he is keen to try to motivate the forum and try to get everyone playing more games, signing up to sites via 4kingpoker and generally more active in the forum - I think that may have been why PKR came up

From a personal POV its far easier for me to get more things happening with PKR poker than any of the other sites ... and I've got some ideas for next season and other promotions

but its really odd when we setup the $5 buy-in with $2000 added we got 2 players

then when we setup the $500 freeroll at PKRpoker we barely got enough for it to run

I think GT was trying to think of ways to get more forum members to play at what is our most popular site ...

the two things - lots of real money players at PKR from 4kingpoker yet very low participation in PKR games from the forum ... doesnt really make much sense but its a reality

Having discussed this with GT I think he like me was scratching his head on what could be done to make it more popular with our non US forum members

I have an idea for a PKR.com promotion in the forum but it will take me a while to see if my idea is logistically possible - we also ran a rake race at PKR ... but inevitably that was won by one of our signups who wasnt a member of the forum ... but at least that did reward our most active player at PKR and its important for me to say thankyou to visitors who signup via our links as well as try to look after the forum members

With Out a Doubt PKR is the COOLEST Poker Site out THERE !

Things I hate about it:-

1/ No 7CS

2/ Complecated Tournament Interface

3/ No USA

Things I love about it:-

1/ Cool Graphics

2/ It's the nearist thing you will get to playing live in your own home with out playing live.

3/ The Player Interactions are 100% TOP of the TREE "superb"

4/ The 4O games/freerolls must be the EASYEST to win in the world gaming net work.
( If you are as GOOD at 4O as Moi ) I have never Bankrolled in there I play on My winnings. In fact I have not lost in there yet

I wish all the forum could play in there it's a Fantastic Site.

It brings the fun back into poker grinding.......
The rakeback 4kingpoker give's is one of the best if not "The Best" rake back deals you can get in there.

yep I have to agree - PKR site is going from strength to strength and over time alot of the things have been getting added

few thoughts on GT's ups and downs

downs

1/ No 7CS ...

yep the range of games is "limited" to most popular TH and Omaha but I've no doubt that they're objective is to add as they grow ...

same with the tournaments - I know from chatting with them they have a very sound and sensible approach where they confidently increase GTD games etc and new formats gradually not over stepping their reach before they know they can over deliver on things

2/ Complecated Tournament Interface

yep - the lobby takes a bit of getting used to but I've found as I get used to the general layout on PKR you get into their mindset - but it could be improved

3/ No USA

yep - lets hope that gets sorted for all sites so we can have a broader choice for US players (I'm tired of having to think in two ways for our tournaments etc - time will always be an issue - but it would be great to have the good old days back where all sites are an option for US players)

Things I love about it:-

second to none - for new players its great first experience of online poker - for experienced players its a refreshing new environment to play the game

definately - the looking at hole cards and "looking" tells is a geat feature - added depth tot the game

absolutely - and now the site has settled in - people tend to use the speaking and actions more sparingly which makes the site enjoyable rather than irritating

The whole site both tournaments and cash games are soft IMHO - alot of players are there enjoying the experience - far fewer are grinders - so less sharks

however I do find that although you can multitable - its a different in screen design so itmight take a bit of getting used to - but you will after a while

PKR is definately one site that is worth trying just for the software

as far as I remember, I signed up through 4king as otherwise I could not have played the great X-Mas tournament from 4king
