im a new member , how i can get the passwords for the tournaments

Once a member has made 10+ posts in the forum - allow 24hrs from the 10th post for the system to update - then you will get all the passwords via PM around 24hrs before each game

People people people, I join so many poker forums and see this all the time. Don't just join for the tournaments, I know we all love and like the free money oppurtunities. But at least look around the forum and try to enjoy what they have to offer. There's more than just a couple tournament passwords in these forums.

there hardly 5 posts - I hate to be strict but it's just pointless putting up crap posts to get 5

you'll technically have 5 but it hardly creates a good impression with other members etc just putting up junk one word posts - the whole point of a posting requirement is to weed out people who dont make an effort

I've already edited your posts down to 2-3 borderline ones - I'd rather hoped you take the hint and post something useful - I guess I was a bit too subtle

It would be great if you had a couple of decent posts then when I edit this one out you'd be back over 5 and you can be sure you'll aways get / access the passwords ;-)

I'm sorry if I come across sounding like an ass, but this site is not just about tournament passwords. I know I'm new myself and don't have much time to chat but this site has a lot to offer. Don't just join to be in a couple of tournaments. There is much much more to a poker community.

You might be new but you you're spot on. THat is one of my biggest pet peeves about people that play in the tourines and dont really contribute to the site. I know sometimes peoples nicknames on here and the site are not always the same but the amount of times I played in tournies before and a large portion of the people had only posted the 5 posts real quick to get the password, or in one case posted 100times but only copied and pasted sentences from previous posts and put them as his.

I can only add that I thought having a posting requirement seemed like a sensible idea

The problem with it is that some people post up 5x crud to play in freerolls, so its almost better not to have any posting requirements, trying the monthly posting freeroll as a bonus for regular posters doesnt seem to have worked

I dont want to tie everyone up in rules - and had hoped that posting would be motivation in itself - but trying to make it happen seems to be a bit contrived

The bottom line is there are 100's of forums and it seems the vast majority of forum members at sites are at all the others too - obviously to play in more tournies - not really a suprise

tournies are tricky as I loook at our sign-up stats to gauge which sites should be successful for tournies - buy-ins especially
The difficulty is that the vast majority of singups / real money players are our visitors and not forum members

all I can suggest guys is post as much as you can and I'll endevour to contribute as much as possible too - maybe we can get things going again
