Poker Forum Challenge - result
Ended up representing 4kingpoker on my tod in the Poker Forum Challenge ... hopefully now we have over 70 members we can start to get more going on with tournies and a bit more of an active forum going too.
Anyway it was an entertaining evening all beit a late one for me - the tournie kicked off at 1am UK time and I'd been out for a christmas curry before sitting down to play.
Lasted just under 2 hours in the freeroll which 2125 entered - Royal Vegas site was really nice to play at even though I wasn't terribly familiar with the software.
Don't forget they're doing a $10 deposited into your account for free deal - so what have you got to loose by signing up (through my banners).
Anyway I played reasonably tight and survived the first hour staying at about double the chip average most of the time - towards the end I made a couple of sensible lay downs even though I'd got myself a bit over committed and eventually was getting blinded away. My last hand I had 1300 chips with blinds at 500/1000 and I was two away from the BB so decided to try an allin steal with my non to impressive 1300 and A9 suited - ended up gettting called by the BB (a big stack) who turned over AA so I inevitably went out.
finally making 142nd place - which was about 1800 places better than I expected -
BTW fatvillian you owe me a tenner as I lasted 1hr 50 longer than you predicted lol
cheers scrawnybob
