I would also like to put in one more further plea... with the posting opened up to winning everymonth there are a few posters who are KILLER string posters... literally 3 posts in a row on the same thread multiple occasions. It would be nice to see legit thought and posts which aim at BETTERING our POKER GAME be rewarded.

Just my 2 cents upon observing forum shifts.

I agree, Stix. Some forums have rules against string posts just for that reason and will merge string posts into one to avoid that problem.

But since Bob manages this all by himself, it would be a lot more on his plate so probably not practical here.

dont worry - keep the report posts coming

obviously I want to know about all spam / sig link issues etc / bonus code referal posters etc etc

but if you feel a posters post need looking at in terms of quality or string posts or whatever thats not a problem either

personally I dont think these issues need to get out of hand and I would much much rather a bit more admin than have bitchy calling out / or politish calling out - when it can easily be avoided with a report post ;-)

nobody is going to mind having 3 posts merged into 1 if its unlikely to affect overal results by the end of the month - but it will keep alot of members happy that posts are legit etc

I'm guilty of string posting in the Team UK thread, but it's done over a period of days and I string post rather than edit the previous post because I want to bring the thread back on to the new post search so the rest of the team see it.

While string posting is a little naughty there are occasions when there is a legit reason. Of course if Bob says stop I will cos I'm a good boy

I wouldn't consider posts done over a period of days as string posts if they are legit new posts. Not your fault if no one else posted to your team. The team threads are different imo anyway. More chatty and not really used for the same purpose as the rest of the forum.

TBH I'm not sure why I complained. I don't typically like doing so... I guess I'm just venting because I know the posting prizes intention. And some months I have the time to get on regularly and post some opinions/questions and try and keep the forum moving in a growing direction. And I'm also frankly broke and would love to break into the top 10, but I would not try and do it in a way that sets the example that tossing up a thumbs up on every topic I can find is good. If I don't have something personal or somewhat unique to add I GENERALLY refrain. That's my whine/bitch/complaint. I am not trying to tear anyone else down. I love seeing the action around the forum getting stronger. I know there is a consensus about what quality posts are... so I'll quit my bitchin.

So... I will continue to "report posts" sorry if I offended. I mean only to keep the integrity of threads and forum run contests at their highest value and effectiveness.
