MONTHLY POSTING PRIZES - New Rules Dec 2009 onwards

hi all

We will be starting a NEW TOP 10 posters WIN between $20 - $5 in FullTilt account starting from December 2009

amended from the previous forum posting prizes - the prizes will remain the same but now members will be eligible to win in each and every month

ie. previously winners in one month couldnt win in the following month - now they can

Now you can win a prize in each month if you make enough posts to be in the top 10 posters ... we are going to try this new rule for a couple of month because we have had several months where not all 10 prizes have been allocated because of insufficent

please note that if members just post junk could get a tempory ban and they WONT get a prize if they are clearly just posting any old tosh to stay at the top

if this works better and gets people more active in the forum again I will be aiming to add an additional 5 paying places each month sometime in the new year

there will still be a 20 post minimum required to win a prize but hopefully now there will be more of you regular posters competiting this shouldnt be a problem

2nd ... $15

3rd ... $10
4th ... $10
5th ... $10
6th ... $10
7th ... $10

8th ... $5
9th ... $5
10th ... $5

Normal post quality rules apply so no junk posts will be counted / allowed

To be eligiable for the top prizes you must have made a minimum of 20 posts in the current month

I hope so - I know that we had alot of active members posting this time last year that arent posting so much now (and thats kind of the nature of things)

but at the moment it sort of feels like we have 15-20 regulars who end up somewhat unintentionally posting more in the months they can win and less in the months they cant - this then ebbs and flows around alternate months

this way I think we'll get all those active members a bit more active

I forgot to mention that the option of adding in maybe 5 additional places in the new year will probably have the option of making those targeted at new members or previously inactive members or previously not won a prize members ... that way it gets more people in the loop longer term

I'm also looking at some mods on the forum layout so we can maybe show updated posting top 10 or something over the month

This sounds like a very good idea. It should be a good incentive for regulars to contribute more while encouraging new members to voice their opinions.

Cool, I like that the prices are not dependent on not winning the month befor.

Hope this now direct "battle" for the payed places will activate the posters even more.

I have to agree the logic here makes perfect sense.I,m sure the winners of the previous month who couldn,t win didn,t post as often the next month.But I notice there still in about 20 of the top posters.Still I,m sure the numbers will increase.
