Titan game ????

I'm sorry but in my opinion tonights game was a farce. I've seen players win hands from behind but right from the start one player was calling with any thing and hitting everything.

From very early on he had the chip lead and never once lost it It was one hell of a lucky streak.

Also not a forum member as far as we could tell.

What do others think.

I have to agree. I,m glad I wasn,t seated at his 1st table. MaverickJK I believe was the name and he never spoke after my prompting. He finally said something when i flopped Tripps but it wasn,t English. I don,t think he could speak any English so how do they get the PW,s ??
There were also 3 Romanians at the final table and I noticed he raised every Pot preflop but not the other 2 Romanians Blinds.He called every hand except when the other Romanian raised 400 preflop and he quickly folded. Suspect some collussion. Must have got the PW from one of the other Romanians.
Maybe if the payouts went back to 9 smaller Pay-outs they wouldn,t so anxious to get into the games in the future. Right now its only Top 3,, !! So $25 - $15 - $10 roughly which is very attractive for them to steal.

Yeah he was a pain I was on his first table as well as the final table. He eat into my stack a couple of times on the first table. As I commented on the table he played any 2 called almost any raise and got lucky nearly every time.

As for collusion mmmm not sure, he took out two other password borrower on the first table, funnily enough last weeks 1st and 3rd. He also took out another Romanian on the final table. I think they almost certainly share the PW but then it every stealer for themselves.

You could tell from early on it was just his night.

damn - there is no easy solution BTW

Ive tried the list idea ... which ends up totally unreliable with the list being entered up there differently wrong from one week to the next

so that really isnt a solution & why we stopped using it 2/3rd of the way through last season

so passwords are the only alternative - its not ideal and titan password stealers seem to be worse than on the other sites

I will try to address the payout structure issue - even non member player issues aside wider structure would be better for all the forum members

Using the web-based version on a MAC, I am unable to see where other players are from, however I did get knocked out by this "password stealer" on the river. Don't see any way around this problem since people who cheat will cheat anywhere - and if one of these "cheaters" IS a member of the forum, then he/she will give the password to others. This is no fault of the forum, since it is impossible for Bob to determine who or who is not a "cheater" when joining the forum.
Maybe one suggestion - don't know if it is feasible though - have anyone who has the intention of entering the tourney send a PM to Bob, or a controller, by a certain time with their Titan nickname in order to get the password, and if anyone's name is not on the final standings, then they are disqualified from the cash and points. (Maybe this can't be accomplished since the payouts are made immediately after the tourney, but if their names were known beforehand, could Titan be informed.) This might give us an indication if the person responsible IS a member of the forum.
OR, has all this been discussed before - don't rightly know since I haven't played on Titan since last May.

The problem does seem to be with Titan rather than the forum.

If they get the password from someone on here why aren't they in all our games. I wonder if Titan's password security is weak and they are exploiting a sofeware weakness.

I unreg'ed as I thought there was some non members in the game.And I don't mind playing against 4kp and giving them my $ but not to non members.

I'm sure they have some sort of syndicate thing where they gatecrash win the $'s then split it between themselves.

One thing could work.Why not hold on to the added money until the end of the season then pay it out to members who place only.So if I finish 2nd(made you laugh) and non member 1st I would get what 1st would of got.I know this is a lot of extra work but would these non members still play if 1st prize is only a couple of $'s as there would be a smaller prize pool.

generally password sharers like regular dont play all sites ...

in other words we have titan password sharers on the forum (who would join just for those passwords) we also have xyz site password sharers who might have no interest in another site password as they dont play there

I know for a fact that we have banned some PKR password sharers also Titan sharers - they werent the game people / group at all

freerolls tend to bring out the password sharers of all and any sites - as its easy to download all sites for nothing and play any private freerolls they can get the passwords for

but this is why we have $1 buy-in .... this makes the problem 10x less than freerolls

its not a security issue with titan ... there is no doubt what so ever that the password gets leaked from one or more members here ... also its NOT possible to assume that its just 10 post members who do this - we've caught high posting members before systematically trading / sharing passwords

there isnt an easy answer - we tried the list - it didnt work as it wasnt reliable

the alternative of using that same list as a base for a known player list sounds ok but we basically do that already with the screen name list etc ...

password sharers DONT care about the forum & so wont care what things we come up with - also they know which sites dont take any kind of action on sharers accounts and which ones do occasionally

the only alternative I can think of is to have zero added games and then for me to allocate money at the end of the season based on overall results - or to really complicate things on individual games ... however there is no way the sites would fund that sort of faffing around - so it will end up being another league that I'm totally funding.

What you say makes sense and we probaly will have to put up with it and try to stop them winning the money by out playing them.

I don't think anyone here wants you to have fund everything yourself, you do enough as it is.

Being able to rant a bit here helps to ease the situation so thanks again for what you do.
