    Default There Will be an Aced League

    hi all

    ive just updated the original post - but after some more thought Ive decided to fund another league season at aced ...

    it was always a dilema whether to do 3 or 4 leagues this season ... this means that

    Fulltilt will remain on Saturdays

    Aced will remain on Sundays

    PKR & Bodog games will remain on Thursdays

    so basically its just the Tuesday night games that are dropped for this coming league season

    ps. I will be changing the scoring structure slightly to weight a little more to the top 5 in each game (suggested by a couple of members and something I wanted to look at)

    top 20 places scoring (as before) but with additional points for each of the top 5 places ...

    ie. 1pt for 20th through to 15pts for 6th then 17pts for 5th, 19pts for 4th, 21pts for 3rd, 23pts for 2nd & 25pts for 1st place

    this isnt a huge change in margin but previously coming 1st was equalled by coming 11th twice (which is much easier to do)

    and also just to add we will be having a couple of games in each league with a slightly bigger buy-ins ...

    6x $1 buyin $25 added + 2x $5 buyin $50 added

    ie. three $1 buy-ins with $25 added then $5 buy-in with $50 added followed by three more $1 buy-ins with $25 added finished off with a final $5 buyin with $50 added

    again these are all things that have been requested by several members and will make things more interesting and help use evolve the leagues making them better and better

    pps. the scoring will be the same for ALL the games ..
    ie. there wont be more points just because a game is a $5 buyin

    Increasing the buyins like that is a GREAT idea. I hope I will be able to play all games this coming season and take a shot at #1. What the hell, illlll can't luckbox forever, right?

    I like that you got Aced back but i know some members don,t like the Merge sites.I think the scoring system is great and rewards players for consistancy.Some forums have leagues that have a very top heavy scoring system where only the top 3 places score high in points and then it drops off dramatically.But a player can make a big comeback from far behind.So there are pros and cons for different scoring systems.
