NEW SEASON - March 25th

Hi all

here is a rough outline of leagues for new season starting Thursday March 25th

this will include Aced games ... basically all the same as last season but without either of the Tuesday night games ...

We will now have a "week off" for captains to reorganise their teams / get in new players / change players etc if they need to

the new season will start on Thursday 25th with 4 leagues
(ALL of them will be team and individual scoring leagues)

Thursday

PKR Poker League 8pm GMT
Bodog League 7pm EST

Saturday

FullTilt Poker League 5pm EST

Sunday

Aced League 5pm EST

Due to various reasons we will dropping the Cake & Titan leagues for the next 8 week season.

For this reason I will payout cake prizes into Fulltilt player acounts if members prefer and request this - INCLUDE Your FT screen name

also I can do this for aced prizes too - althought I WILL be organising a new league there now

sounds good Bob.
Any consideration for changing up the pts. system for the games? I think it'd be great if first few finishers pts. were more heavily weighted (maybe to keep it simple, use same system but add on extra 5pts. for 1st, 3pts - 2nd & 1pt for 3rd.
(1 1st place finish in a tournament just seems as if it should be worth more than 2 6th place finishes).
any thoughts?

Thats sounds reasonable PO for scoring.Small reward and not making it too top heavy in points.

While I don't mind the $5 buyins, I do think the payouts should be more than 3. Below are the payouts for Thu game at bo. $175 prize pool and only 3 paid.

I wouldn't have made the $ anyway, but think this payout structure is a little top heavy. Below it is a sample for a 27 player SNG at stars with only $135 prize pool and it pays 5 places. I would think if the money were spread around a little more, people would be more willing to put their $ in.

Not that opinion is needed here but i agree that if the prize pool is over $100 they should pay out top 5 instead of 3

i'm definately on board with that idea. the sites are basing the payout structure on entries. i think if you request a certain payout structure the poker room will oblige you.
as for the other issue on giving out extra points for placing in top 3---i'm not for that. the simpler the better. afterall, top three always get the $ anyways. that's the payday!

Damn that was beautifully top heavy. While I agree 5 would be nice there's definitely a line, I've played in games where the $ was "spread" and top 11 get paid and 11-6 get like .20-$3. Anyway, congrats to whoever managed to snag one of those top spots.

I have to agree with Frost. Top 5 is a lot better. With 30+ ppl at tilt and money added, it should pay more than 3 spots. Joeshowdown is winning all the money

BTW I did try to get the $5 game structure changed as the numbers may have been too low to get 5 payout or 9 payout

but they didnt get back to me and it didnt get changed ;-(

hopefully they will do changes for the following games
