August - Posting Nominations

hi all

please post you suggestions here for the AUGUST monthly nominations / prizes

1) $5 for best / most useful post / reply of the month

2) $5 for best thread started / thread starter

3) $5 for best newcomer / newly active member

basically I will look at the nominations at the end of each month and then pick the 3 winners

also please note a couple of changes to the posting prizes for this month onwards ...

ALL prizes will be $5 ONLY ... 15 prizes to be won totalling $75

top 12 highest posters $5 each + 3 nomination winners at $5 each

ALL members are eligible post enough to win a prize in any given month

To qualify for a prize you must have a minimum of 20 posts in the month

Gonna try do this as I read posts this month cos it's hard to find them if you leave it til the end of the month.

1) I would like to nominate Al Noble for his reply in the thread fixed?????. Just thought it was a good response to a rigged question.

I nominate Poker Orifice for best / most useful post / reply of the month for the following reasons:

1. His posts are about POKER!

2. His posts are knowledgeable and COHERENT!

3. He doesn't string post to get his post count up.

4. He doesnt overuse smilies or caps.

5. He posts are on topic not some crap that just pops into his head.

6. He can spell.

7. He actually reads the posts he is responding to.

8. He doesn't confuse 4kingpoker with twitter and facebook.

Hard to pick just one but this is a good example of a great, well thought out, helpful reply:

I agree with TF. I've gotten a lot of good advice from Poker Orifice's posts. I don't know how to make a link like TF, but I liked PO's response to my thread in strategy, titled MTT's or S n G's (something like that anyway).
