No more accolades?

Are accolades no longer being given for winning the team events?

I think most of us like them.

Also was wondering about the term NLTH instead of NLHE. Is that a British thing?

short answer is yes and no

Ive not updated accolades for a while as they take alot of time to do and I havent had alot of time

also because there isnt anymore room for them on most winners bits that show on posts

like ive said before yes its lame but its taken nearly a year to not get the site moved to new platform but doing stuff on the old one just makes more work to move

the forum features and stuff I am hoping to do more with on the updated VB setup which will happen the same time the rest of the site changes

then I will find time to sort it out as I would ideally like to have some sort of trophy cabinet on each member profile so you can fill it up with 4kingpoker awards and also maybe make or add ones for other tournament wins etc from sites or other places ...

the main issue is that alot of members who get accolades havent got anymore room for them where they appear - so this needs to be changed so you can see a link to got to profile to see their cabinet or awards in their profile ...

this will make the forum pages look tidier and also create more personal interest in members profiles etc

until the new setup is going I'm not going to try to create things that then dont work in new version and cost double to get fixed

but I will be adding more social facebook type stuff to the forum once new version is up

this is a bit more adventurous plan and is why I'd left the accolades getting updated thinking we would have been able to update them far far sooner - the work for the move started in feb and was looking like a month long job not 10 months

I will happily update members profiles if they really need them to be but would rather not have more to do at the moment as I'm getting close to the change over now

once things are stable then I'll be able to look at things a bit more

already there is only a couple of weeks before next league and I havent had time to sort anything out yet - so again I will be up against it

This all sounds very familiar. I hope that the migration to a new platform here works out better than I've seen other places.

Accolades? We don't need no stinking accolades. They all know that we know that they know!

Besides it would probably be more noteworthy when Disturbed Inc or any team that TF is on doesn't win!

Frost, in the military we used call those "I love me walls" basically when ppl put all their plaques, accolades and trophys on display!!! But 2 sayings come to mind here first is "There ain't nothin wrong with a little self love"LOL and second is "it ain't just braggin if its true"! So flaunt them if you got them I say!! But of course my wall is empty right now or should I say for now!!LOL

yep putting them in your sig links would be a good idea for the moment I guess as I know that even a few seasons ago I had to drop some of the old wins on some members to get the new ones in ... which isnt ideal

Ideally I am hoping to have something on the top of the posts
(Ive seen sort of similar on other sites)

so like a bracelet, trophy or medal icon and then a number giving an idea of how full your trophy cabinet is and clicking on it would go through to members profile where I will have added an extra area for trophies ...

probably one for 4kingpoker ones and another panel for non 4kingpoker trophies
