screenshots not working?

How do we get sceenshots to work with new site? I can't get it happening no matter what I do???

I tried to do an attachment and got an error. So I had to upload to photobucket and use the img code.

Tks TF... I don't even know how to upload to photobucket (what's photobucket?... I like buckets but not sure if I like a photobucket... maybe a photo of a bucket... jk )

(copy paste from a PM I sent to someone who was polite enough to ask)

I do a print screen, then paste into paint
crop it, move the image to top left, then move the bottom right corner to resize
save as xxx.png

then go to ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting upload image
on the left after you upload right click the small image, copy IMAGE LOCATION
come to forum and click insert image tag, paste in link


then on the right you will see direct link to image, right click the link and copy url
come to forum and click the image you just inserted, then click the insert url tag, paste in link

If that explanation is confusing, I can re do it for you later when I have more time

just a heads up the forum mechanics and the uploading side of things should not have been affected at all by the partly completed changes to the overall site

hope thats a help looking for fixing the prob

check to see if the upload folder has the correct destination url (vB administrator backend) and FTP chmod755

Evidently SB's last post is also in error . I guess he does say "should not have been".

My experience with computers is that telling someone that something that is happening shouldn't be happening doesn't "help" fix the problem lol.

ok I was assured that their wouldnt be any glitches on the forum as it hadnt changed, while it doesnt look pretty at the moment the functionality should have been ok - if it isnt then it will have to be fixed but wont be yet

that side of things will be fixed in around 10 days as tech is on holiday

not ideal but the changeover had to be done in time for the end of the month which meant doing it earlier that ideal or not getting it done for that deadline at all
