hi all

just to help out as some might not have played our leagues before

yes there will be teams again - there will be one set of 4 prizes for the overall winning highest scoring team after 12 games

(I might be able to run to a runner up team - not sure I can afford it yet)

there will also be overall individual prizes for the top 5 highest scoring players overall

(at this stage I cant give numbers because I dont know what I will be able to afford)

In terms of the scoring - you cant reset the default homegame scores that are generated - so they are no use for our leagues (the options are weekly, monthly or quarterly - none of which work for us)

so I will have to score it manually like previous seasons - I will score 20 places as per previous seasons (regardless of bigger fields - as doing 20 places is already more work than I have time to do but I know my preferred 10 spots is going to meet with derision)

teams will be scored as previously also

due to the last minute nature of this league there will be one weeks grace on the teams being set in stone - so if players move teams then let me know by next weeks games and I will adjust the scores accordingly - after week2 then no teams can pull players from other teams only add from previous non team players IF and ONLY IF they have less than the 4 max players in the teams

I fully appreciate that this league is not ideal for our non US members and also if the take up is low from US members then we will review what we will do at the end of the season - as previously stated the aim of these leagues is to try and pull the forum together

but judging by the posting levels being now so low Im unsure if we have many US members who want to be active or if we have many members who want to post now there isnt a financial incentive to post - we will see over the next few weeks what is and isnt worth doing and what is popular or unpopular

After reading the first few posts in this thread and residing in the USA I was quite excited and eager to join the 4King PS home game club. However I realized by all the post dates that there hasn't been a 4King home since 2011! But I went and applied for entry to the club anyway in hopes that the home games would resume again. I really hope you start them up again. I can almost gaurantee I would be there at the tables and would not sit out.

this seasons games are at Carbon - which is open to US players

$2 buyin and with prizes added at the end of the season

last season we tried play money games at PokerStars with money added at the end - it really didnt take off very well considering the possibilities most US members seemed not to want to play for play money

I did play in 1 Carbon game. I just I can't believe those games didn't catch on better then it did. Weren't the prizes for those play money games Amazon gift cards? Heck, right there would be an incentive for me to play! Oh well, if you ever decide to restart those play money games for Amazon gift cards you can count me in! Thanks for the response.
