As previously discussed I am going to try and run leagues via pokerstars home game / poker club on play money so that ALL members can take part

At this point I have not sorted out any prizes but hopefully I am able to send overall winners etc Amazon giftcards or similar

At this point we need to get as many members registered for our 4kingpoker club on pokerstars home games so please follow instructions below

info has been sent our via pm to all members and is now in the locked password area too

That's it ... Once I've approved your membership request, we'll be ready to start playing Home Games online together.

To access the invite info you would need 10+ decent posts but most members should have got a PM - if not then PM me "scrawnybob" and I will send you the info - but ideally get active in the forum and post ;-)

at the moment I have setup 4 pre season / league "warmup" games basically to get as many members involved as possible and so we can get an idea if Saturdays or Sundays are more popular

Also I have provisionally setup the remaining 2 4KSOP games on pokerstars homegames - again I will have to sort something out in terms of transfers for non US members and Amazon giftcards for US members

BTW if your screen name on pokerstars is different to your forum name then either

post your pokerstars screen name in this thread

or PM me "scrawnybob" with the info

or put your forum name in the comment bit on the invite for the home games

so I can approve you without delay

we are now 6

and I will be sending out a mass PM to all member with the info to join the club

I think this could be a great solution for the leagues and games to keep everyone together and infact build it into something bigger and better than the buyin games

and yes for the doomsayers I will at some point sort out some added prizes
so dont snub it just because its play money

its about the game, the forum and proving your metal against the rest of the members ;-)

well we are now 19

BTW some of our US members dont seem to have got why we are doing play money home games on pokerstars ...

for YOU

(as mentioned in the pm) basically you CAN play on pokerstars for play money
and this is exactly why we are doing this so that at least for one league we can get everyone including our US members together

yes I will try to sort out some end of league prizes including amazon giftcards for US players (you could buy a poker book or something)

So its not for nothing and most importantly it's for bragging rights amongst forum members - there wont be any non members as its invite only and not like freerolls

Interestingly we have got a couple of no post / low post inactive members who have joined the home games - so as hoped it may get alot more previously inactive members involved

dont forget people - this IS something of a team building excercise aimed at keeping the forum and its members together and active

I fully appreciate that play money and small prizes is not what many generally play for (including myself) but equally $2 buyins with a few quid added wasnt either - so think of it more as a chance to actually play with all the forum, a social even and definately opportunity for bragging rights

I will add some real money games at other sites at some point but these will likely be specific room signup only games and probably for non US sites
