How do I change my avatar?

I'm tired of kicking sand into people's faces. How do I change my avatar on the site here? (I've tried uploading another pic. off my puter but it doesn't seem to work... have tried a few times now). < same process seems to work fine on other sites(forums) & on pokersites. And no, I'm not the most puter literate... but I do get by. please keep it simple for me.. tks.

Thought I would try to help out, but when I tried to change mine, I also had a problem - the message "unable to move/copy file" appeared. The picture did meet the size requirements.
