NEW 10+ post requirement for passwords - Page 4

hi all

ok so I know some of the good members are getting as equally hacked off with the inevitable problems of poor posting by new members and also poor additional posting the existing 5+ members having a lazy approach to posting 10+

but please DONT make the situation worse for me and more negative in the forums by posting negatively on poor posts - just report them to me (use red triangle in top right of all posts to send me an alert)

I will then look at the posts and also the entire postings of that member and edit accordingly - so poor posting members right on the 10 post borderline will have to check back as it's more than likely they will have some posts deleted

It's far better if you use your posting time adding to good threads than complicating poor ones ...

Dear Scrawny,

I would like to know if you listed the active members somewhere on the forum ? It would be useful for us to know if we're admitted to freerolls for the month by an open topic which would give us names of qualified members.

Hope that it will be add soon, if you plan to, if you aint too busy. A sql querie would be able to do that easily i believe.

hi

its easier than that - if a member has made 10 decent posts then they will receive the passwords
(automatically sent 24hrs before games)

so ... we dont need a list of qualified or not qualified players ...
members can see for themsleves if they are going to get passwords

you can see the active members using the monthly post total links in this thread ...

or you can also see total totals (if that makes sense) by going to "members" and then ranking results by post total ...

there is no requirement beyond the 10 decent posts for the passwords - we hope that members actually enjoy taking part in the forum enough to carry on posting and being active rather than making rules to make them post

if however members have made 10+ iffy / poor posts then they'll have to look at their own post count (top right of each post has members post total) to check I havent deleted some of their posts - I think it's pretty obvious even to them whether they have made decent enought posts to feel they've earnt the passwords or not

simple really -

make 10 decent enough posts - get passwords

make 10 poor posts - be unsure if you'll get passwords, get up my nose, get posts deleted, dont get passwords, end up making the effort to make decent posts to get passwords - which would have been easier to do in the first place

I have check the total post for last month and shouldn't qualify for April as i only get 6 post on March.

But the good news is that i received the latest passwords through my mail box as the one for PKR.

Am i considered as an active member for ever tho, lol.

Not a problem for me as i really want to play in 4king games, but other members may become jealous.

ok this is the score - just to avoid even more confusion with threads the new members half read instead of fully reading the rules threads and their intro email etc ...

to get the passwords ...

members must make a total of 10+ decent posts in the forum ... period

this is a total total posts count ... NOT in the same month or anything like that ... It's simple and not complicated by time / dates / when posts were made

the ONLY rule about the 10+ posts to get passwords is ... they have to be half decent or decent ... once you have made 10+ decent posts ... you will always get the passwords

BUT if a member makes 10 cr*ppy posts then they are likely to get some / all deleted and then they wont get passwords ... or they might get passwords for a bit then have posts deleted and not get passwords ... until they have made sufficent (ie. 10+) posts of a reasonable quality

so it's the members who make 10 poor posts just to get passwords and dont post anymore that have to keep an eye out on their post count - I'm not going to waste my time alerting them to the fact that they have had posts deleted - if they get deleted its generally because they were crap and they have put in zero or near zero effort into being a part of the community ... They can obviously fix this by ... making some more decent posts / being more active ... this way they will be sure to get the passwords

The monthly posting jackpot and draw ... is a separate thing - if you make 10+ posts in any given month then you are also entered for the draw (two rnadom members who have posted 10+ in that month get $20 in their Full Tilt or PokerStars accounts) also the top 3 overall posters in that month win $20 into Full Tilt or PokerStars accounts)

Specifically to hojediade - you have enough posts and so get the passwords on a permanent basis
