Default too many pokerrooms

Hi players,

why do we have so many different pokerrooms where we play the freerolls and the leagues?
Would'nt it be enough to play in only 3 different pokerrooms?!!! I dont want to have so many pokerroom-software on my computer and I dont want to have so much money in these rooms

i believe there are only 4 different site for the league???.....im thinking the reason is mainly 2 for our european members and 2 for mainly players from the usa....though i believe our european members can play the usa sites too...but usa members are limited on the ones we can play at

Default too many games / sites

hi

I know alot of members would like me to run just wall to wall games at the sites that they are already players at - but that isnt realistic -

the sites themselves run alot of games as they have multi million budgets

I dont and so we have to mix in other sites - ones that I would recommend BTW

a) to get at least a few signups to new sites from the forum members

b) because although I pay for most of the games - some we get funded by the poker rooms

c) because visitors and potential signups to rooms we recommend appreciate us offering chances for them to try the sites in our games.

Alot of other forums will chop and change sites they run tournaments at based on who they can get to run them for nothing - I dont and fund alot of games at the biggest sites even though these are very much subsidised by poker room signups by non member visitors signing up to other sites which are maybe not as heavily featured in the leagues

we have 2 leagues -

a US Open league (open to all including US players) - which runs at FullTilt, PokerStars, Bodog & Carbon Poker

a Non US league (open to non US players) which runs at Titan Poker, PKR Poker, RedKings Poker & Pacific Poker

that is 8 sites potentially in two leagues for non US members - but only 4 for US players

The US members requested I try to figure out a way of having separated leagues as in our previous leagues not all sites were open to US players - so I added another $6000 to this years tournament prizes to run additional league so they could be separate.

if you combine the total prize money added over the 48 games of the 2 leagues which are running over the next 12 weeks that is a total to be won of $2400.

half the games are freerolls and the other half are only $1 buy-in

I know many members arent interested in the how and the why - and think we should just do wall to wall fulltilt games etc but the reality is that

we can either do a very reduced schedule at one, two or three sites - which would mean the same number of games not more at those sites than there is currently

or I can do what we have now which is to add in a load of additional games at other sites as well giving members more games (admittedly at a few more sites)

cheers scrawnybob

I like the way it is now. With seperate leagues it is fair to US players. I also like playing at different sites. I seem to do better on some than on others. I feel all this gives me a chance to place in the money. Thanks Bob!

Indeed the way scrawny is organizing the league at those poker rooms is certainly the perfect for us to make some games as it could have been worst if it's only with 2 or 3 poker rooms.

If you have tried to organise forum events you would understand just how difficult it is to do. You can please some of the people all the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time. Many sites will not help forums in funding games anymore as hundreds sign up for freerolls and few ever deposit. Forums themselves are closing down as they do not have the support of depositing players. Bob does a great job in trying to please all the people all the time. This is the only forum I am aware of that provides freeroll and buyin leagues for US and non US members. Keep up with what you do Bob, you have my support 100%.

A new brave world we live in....

where someone with 10 posts feels he may fire things like"I dont want to have so many pokerroom-software on my computer and I dont want to have so much money in these rooms
".....

and i am asking: why do you feel we are interested in knowing what you want or you dont want, are 10 post enough for speaking out your mind for bringing any suggestions....!?

the leaugue is fine the way it is.
