PASSWORDS - Bans / Tempory bans

just so you all know

I am handing out bans and some tempory bans for proven and suspected password sharing / posting at other sites of our PRIVATE PASSWORD by our members

I am not going to mention the site which rather publically and contraversially sole purpose is to post / share and trade private & forum passwords but be warned

I have gone through the entire list and posts etc at that site - I have found some of our passwords posted there

Members posting our passwords will be banned

Members who are also at this site posting other forums private passwords are getting tempory bans here and having their posts culled under 10

We have and will monitor sites and we will for persistent abusers get acounts closed at poker sites - everyone is frankly sick of these sorts of sites and members who take the pi** ... it isnt just this site specifically as I know the passwords get given out in various places

ps. for those of you who have tempory bans - you have a chance to redeem yourselves - delete your membership to these sharing sites / make the required posts here and dont share our private passwords or for that matter any other sites private passwords.

just to clarify - the tempory bans are somewhat arbitary ... and to be honest I make no apology for that (there may be a couple of errors but the odds of people being two different people are frankly remote)

the tempory bans are not very long - and some are 3 days just to give you notice that we have seen you are a member of this password sharing site

members who have posted other sites passwords have a 7 day ban - be thankful

I wouldnt mind guessing the good members here and at other forums would probably quite happily kick you to a pulp then tar and feather you and then leave you in the dessert for the vultures ;-) so I'm probably being soft on you

there are alot of other members we are aware of being members there also

IMHO this is all quite simple - most of the forums dislike these types of sites and particularly this one as the webmaster is more vocally convinced with what he is doing - personally I'd these sorts of sites and password sharing threads and section in other forums didnt exist - but I'm not going to get into some petty spam war with him like some other sites ... and there are loads more who are just as bad but keep their heads down

for members here the choice is simple

that site's purpose is to give out and post PRIVATE passwords that are for closed games at all the forums - if you cant get into a game because it's not public / general poker site freeroll and you cant get the password offically ... there is a reason for that

Amazingly the message forums and private games are telling you is ... your not welcome if your not a member or qualified to play

personally I think these types of sites are from start to finish wrong -

but equally if not more so ... anyone there who is a member - and posts up any sites passwords IS WRONG

so to anyone caught up with a tempory ban the answer is simple - delete your posts of private password at of these sites & support the forums (whichever ones they are) by respecting their rules and ours ...

Ehm ye, we would first invite you for a live game at our place , then first take your money and then kick you , throw you out the window , and if that's not enought, LOL , im to aggresive .


Just kiddin , but ye , bob is right ! PRIVATE MEANS PRIVATE , not sending to other people , heck you might not even know those people , and then again what if they share with more friends , and more and more , think about it , what's the use , it;s not like he's going to give you $$$ for playing there...

hi all

just to update everyone

I'd emailed their admin a week or so ago and hadnt heard back - they had to move their server !

anyway I have just had a replay from my PM to them today from their admin ...

we should now be put on to their "no passwords can be posted from these sites" list

I will keep an eye out - as I do generally across all of the possible outlets for our passwords

but at least we have got a decent response from their admin - and our passwords shouldn't be appearing there in future

thanks JC - really appreciate it,sorry Ive edited the hell out of your posts (not your bad BTW) I just dont want to be linking to another forum who allows other forums passwords to be posted (hope that makes sense)

I'm already aware of this site having banned a member from our forum who as far as I can work out was some sort of mod there !

we had been getting passwords removed and I've contacted them again about these passwords

as for the invite option - I have already made it clear that we cannot and will not be doing this for all the tournaments - it simply is NOT possible either for me to spend a rediculous amount of hours doing it - or the sites doing it at their end also - they dont want to do it and I dont want to do it

there is a very simple answer to the issue of freeroll passwords - we stop running freerolls and that wouldnt be a very popular suggestion - so the more members who a vigilant like JC and then PM me with info the better ;-)

BTW I really appreciate members giving me a heads up on anything they find - and this can be done confidentially via PM which would be better than doing it on the forum as we dont want to send visitors to sites who dont keep their house in order

ps. it isnt inconceivable that we could have 130 for a pokerstars freeroll legitmately BTW we have 500+ members who can play perfectly ok - but yes we do get people crashing the games)

I wont be able to play in the 4king of pokerstars , to late for me , .. but i would like that the ones from this site that are going to play it , have a good time and hopefully someone of the site wins , and not some goof ball that stumbled across the password...


I got to work tomorrow , hope someday the time of the tournaments will be a bit more like the one of pkr , but then again when it's weekend i love it when it starts at that time , very late , people are tired and sleepy , most of the time that gives a sober guy the advantage .

I surf around allot so anything i find ill pm bob , or if im at a other forum and i see something i always give a thumb down.

So if your in multiple forums like me, wouldnt you just like to keep the passwords private , there is no sence in sending them public or to a friend , cause you dont gain any $$$ from it , nor does your RIO go up .
Think about it.
