Hey scrawnybob, you do a great job. I'd just like to say, do what you have to about this problem. I'm ready to follow even tighter rules and procedures for the freerolls. For instance i would be willing to wait for a week, or even the end of the month for any winnings I made on your freerolls. This would give u time to check and be sure the winners were active members. Hell, maybe just putting a note on the poker sites registration form, that payouts were only made later, and only to active forum members, would scare off the lazy bum $%#$&*% password cheats.
In any case, good luck on solving this problem. I'm ready to follow whatever you come up with. and bob, relax some and enjoy, I worry about the stress this must be causing you.

Hey ScrawnyBob,
One way to alleviate this particular problem is to require the logon name for each site in the forum profile. A number of the other forums I am a member of use this strategy. This is a sure fire way to determine if the freeroll winners are members.

What happens at those forums when the winners aren't members?

The actions taken are up to the moderators of the site ... Most use a point system to a larger freeroll later in the year. If you aren't a member ... you get the cash, but no credit towards the larger freeroll. Another site makes proactive complaints with the site and the site may or may not take action against the player.
(This happened on one of the first sites I was a member with, they mistakenly reported me and the site locked me out until I had the forum clarify the error.)
If a repeat offender is found there are measures to have this logon name banned from your tournament (site specific).
It just depends on what kind of relationship you have with the tournament hosting site.
