non English forum sections ?

hi all

ok so I guess the new rules on active posting to play the member tournaments and leagues will cause difficulties for our non US / non English speaking members

so I suggest that these members try using

google translate tool

It's not perfect but if you type in post with your native language and then translate to English and then post the result

preferably with a prefix above it "translated to English using google translate" or something

Future possible non English boards

There is a possibilty that I will added language specific sections for our non-English members to post in - only poker related posts

To make this a possibilty I need to know who from our most active members speaks two or more languages fluently ... or well enough to spot spammy posts / promotion of other forums / bonuses etc

These sections would be strictly zero links sections

SO if your active and speak English + non English language please post in this thread what you can do

those members (and others) would need to keep an eye on those specific sections and then send me "report posts" when they spot something that breaks the rules

Spanish
Portuguese

Italian
French
German

Russian

Dutch
Norwegian
Swedish
Danish
Finish

Hungarian
Romanian (or maybe not)


let me know who would be up for this and then I'll review the possibilities

also there maybe some "work" for bankroll opportunities for non English speakers translating some of our poker reviews - ideall double verified by two members to be 100% sure we have good translations rather than humour ;-)

Hey SB I have been using this: Yahoo! Babel Fish - Text Translation and Web Page Translation for years to translate pages in other languages to english.....and vice versa.........

Once again Bob, you bend over backwards try to accomodate the 4King membership. I have to say though in all honesty, if you can read a PM or email for a password, you can make reasonably understandable posts. The vast majority of European players understand the English language, they just choose not to use it at the table which leads to conflict. I have not yet been on a poker site where the rule is not English only.

Definitely a great idea. I speak English and I can say very little in German. Poker is a world wide sport as you can see from any major tournament there are world wide players. I especially like it when there are great world wide players at the WSOP since it is the world series and all. I am of no use in this topic when it comes to putting in work on translations. Pig latin maybe? lmao
