Pokerstars FreeRoll - more than 200 players???

as I've said at length before - list / ticket / invite games are NOT an option - period

sites dont want to do admin and I certainly dont either

we have one site which we do this with (pacific) because thats the only way they do it - even with a small list - the amount of hastle and time this has taken up and continues to take up when those games are scheduled is far too much - but managable

I'm not even going to consider that option for sites where we could legitimately have 100+ members able to play and loads of members who havent / dont read the rules etc

those that do actually read any of the information that gets sent out (regularly) and is posted in the forums ... would be amazed at just how many members seem to be very "hard of reading"

this isnt a problem (well actually it is - as alot of admin is created that need not be) but under the current setup the admin is kept to a managle level

from experience if we start trying to do lists - I may as well forget getting any sleep or getting games to happen - with 6000 members there is just too much room for everyone and his dog who dont read the rules sending me requests etc

just to make it clear BTW (as I'm sure our regular & good members have probably picked up on the fact that I'm sething)

I have absolutely nothing against freerollers

It's just the simple fact that whilst the vast majority or members (freerollers & high rollers etc) are very good, follow the rules etc

freerolls unfortunately attract an element that want an expect free free free and a small minority dont care about the forums they join and dont see what is wrong with abusing private passwords ...

this just doesnt happen with buy-ins ... the fact the players have to put something in (even a $1) means these games get more respect and dont attract the interest of all these two bit general forums who also post up passwords etc

as has been commented we are trying to work with (so far with variable success) a certain site which solely focusses on freeroll passwords - so I'm not going to say they are the problem as they are becoming managable - the sites that are not are these rogue sites that pop up all over the place

while I appreciate members sending me info on where they see our passwords (keep them coming BTW and I will keep dealing with them) we are not even with the best will in the world going to stem the flow

so sorry to our good freerollers - but by taking out the freerolls at the biggest two sites this should make things easier (and better) - and we will have replacement freerolls for the US league at sites you might want to try ;-)
