Default Pokerstars FreeRoll - more than 200 players???

Bob:
Take a look the huge amount of brazilian there. I pretty sure that the password was posted in a brazilian's forum.
How can we have a league if 70-80% aren't from 4KP?

Luz, we'll just have to do our best to see it till the end. Surely one of us could do it?

Default PokerStars freeroll & passwords

hi

yes - I'm furious

it was posted in a Candian / French site - we have banned the offending 10+ post member who has clearly been lurking for a long time

The fact that its up on a Brazilian site as well is no suprise - but its an impossible task to police any of this freeroll password stuff - I've tried, others have tried - it's just too much time and just not effective even wasting time on it 24/7

please see my reply to a similar posts about this below ...

the password post on "that site" freeroll password site has as far as I can see been removed

but it has also been found on another forum where one of their top posters appears to be a 10 post member here - they have been duly banned here and their IP

what is more frustating is I'm currently trying to play in a $109 buy-in tournament (10k guaranteed) and fannying around over a poksy $50 freeroll and the idiot members who seem to think its somehow smart to give out our league game passwords isn't doing my game any good at all

so thanks morons - I pony up $50 of my own dosh to give the majority of our good forum members a free game, some competition for a league

and you get in the way of me playing a half decent game having spent out $109 to buy-in to a game

the solution is simple ... as realistically we are never going to get rid of these morons

we just wont have any freerolls at the sites with the most issues on sharing of passwords

I'm afraid that might seem tough on our die hard freeroll members - but that's unfortunately tough - blame the morons not me

as of the end of this season of league games we will be taking Full Tilt & PokerStars out of US Open league with it's mix of freerolls and $1 buy-ins and adding in two new US friendly sites - and members who will only play freerolls will have to try some new sites if they want freerolls

We will then be launching a new PokerStars v FullTilt buy-in only league

members who will only play one or other (or both) of those sites will then get a better game without cheapskate non members - freerollers I'm afraid will have to work the freerolls on others sites or deposit

I know some will moan - but I'm tired of the grief, hastle and giving my money away to non members and or members who dont respect the majority of good members

cheers scrawnybob

No doubt Bob...
I was about to enter for fun, and 'cause I've never played USA league, but >200 ?!? not another stressful freeroll.... I'll play the buy-in.

PokerStars events do call lot of attention
We can see the forum today flooded with posts
We have discussed this issue more than once... fr whores
Maybe a thread for PM sign-up would be filter some freerollers...

Well.... just wanted to show some solidarity with Bob and USA 4kp members, who must be frustrated by now... again...

Default we've tried all the available options

hi

cheers for the support - we've tried all the available options

late sending of passwords

increasing the posting requirement to 10+

having a locked password area ... removing the locked password area

etc etc

the bottom line is freerolls attract people who want something for free and therefore dont really care how they get it ... unfortunately they also attract retarded people who seem to think it's really cool to kiss ass up to a bunch of other equally cheap skate players and give them our passwords -

the real irritation ... is crafty members who signup, make enough posts (and looking through the ones I've banned they generally make half decent ones that dont attract attention) just to share our passwords

the solution is simple and final ... I'm not running any freerolls at sites which attract these people and mess up our leagues

cheers scrawnybob

Of course we'll try, but the tourney will be full of fishes... Sometimes you can fish, but many times you fall into the water.

Didn't saw your posts.

Yes, buy-in leagues are more competitive, although I've never played more than an 11 members event... that's the scary part... what could we do about it?

About freerolls, my guess is you have gave already too much of your time to 4kp freerolls... maybe it is time to move on, and freeroll forums are all around...

good luck too us all

FR without password but with an invitation could be a solution.

But bob's words are crystal clear:

the solution is simple and final ... I'm not running any freerolls at sites which attract these people and mess up our leagues

I agree luzipher. It sucks that people don't have enough respect for the forum to simply keep the passwords strictly for eligible forum members. I know that we do it all vegas does their freerolls that way, so no unauthorized players can gain access to their freerolls. I'm not sure if that's easy to manage, but it keeps the pw thieves out and members loyal to the forum.
