Bounty Suggestion for FT & PS League

Hi,

I been enjoying the input from fellow members and admin regarding the new league series and the new teams coming together. I wondered if there was something combining the two.

The idea:

A Bounty Sytem Combined with the league based on team membership.

Due to the unkown number of players partaking, I suggest keeping this to Final Table only hands ie only hands played at a FT would score a bounty. Easier to admin.

Each player at the FT has a bounty of 1 point on them.
Previous League I or II players that have placed 1-3 in final tally (ranked playes) or those with an outright win in the current league will have their bounty increased to 2.
Knock out 2 or more people in one hand and score a triple bounty.. 3 points, 5 if it includes a ranked player.
Busting your own team member at FT annuls any bounty in given hand.

All scores collated at end of league.

I'm not at all sure if scrawnybob would agree or be pleased with this, or even if its allowed:

I was originally going to offer this to my team members, but thought it might be better overall. My intentions were to offer up some cash to the bounty pot and collate the scores of members. $10-$20 I thought might create a little interest amongst my team, attract new members etc.

Team Leaders/Starters:

If its ok with the powers who be, would you be willing to contribute to a bounty pot, either to pay out or put towards a game of the top bounty hunters? 2 top players from each team get into a game or are paid?

I see some admin in it regularly, but what if a group or thread was setup ( Team Bounty Hunters?) that participatong members can join, post their bounty requests in after each game etc . Those that don't post before the next game don't count.

If its allowed (is it?) I'll offer this to Warrior team members if overall interest isn't strong.

nice idea - but pretty complicated (although sounds easy enough)

I really want to get the team thing going - so teams will be looking at the league results to get an idea how their team members are scoring in the league games in addition to the individual results

I'm hoping we can get some strong teams going ready for the next league season which will start early July

ideally we could do with teams being of at least 10 members ... if members that could start a team or take part in a team do one or or other asap that would be great ... we can be a bit flexible on the rules for who can join teams (ie. the not to many high posters / scorers in one team rule is flexible if done sensibly) and also who can setup a team doesnt strictly need to be only 50+ posting members (again just some common sense)

with the start of teams and also the additional cost of doubling the number of FullTilt and PokerStars games in a new separate league (you can team that on up as well if you like)

+ I want to do some team specific games too - we have alot going on

+ I want to get the VIP (50+poster and member for 3+ months) game up

thats alot of extra going on ;-)

hi all

yep I think having the teams and such good team leaders ;-) who are motivated and decent players too will make things alot more friendly and sociable in the forums ...

while at the same time getting a bit more of a competitive angle on things

it's over to you guys (and girls) to develop your teams / squads and spur each other on to beat everyone else to a pulp (figuratively) and then retire to the forum for a friendly debrief and some well earned bragging rights

I'm guessing this will be all the more paletable on a team basis than our individual winners wanting to discuss how well they played etc

hopefully we should have more teams and fuller teams by the time the new season of leagues starts at the beginning of July

My thought was to have players actively participate in that themselves. They will either do it or they won't. Create a list of signed up players, who get PM reminders to report bounties, posting them in a group or thread. Bounties collated on a weekly basis. If results aren't in by the next game they are void.

No hand histories would be required unless contention arose about this and that, but the print would solve any doubt.. I don't forsee any trouble with this as the teams are mostly regulars and someone will be able to yeah or neah what happened.

Only problem I see is, its a waste of time if there is no interest. I had hoped for some more feedback from players about the idea. Maybe with a few more regulars in tonight they might pick up on it more.

Again I saw this purely as a side interest for the teams, something like the top poster of the month thing, something that hopefully stimulates a lttle bit more interest/activity. The schedule certainly will be tight, but I'll always make time for one more game with 4KP people any time of the day.

I will follow any rules. The one i feel is a duty is that all players should not be allowed to use messenger.
Any other improvements are good to me. Team play is always a good time to me.

just to add - I think you are all responsible and grown up enough to be able to play by the flexible common sense rules

if anyone wants to ask me anything privately then feel free to PM me

eg. a member with 10+ posts is itching to start a team etc

But I really think the whole team thing should be a great community builder and self policing

USING PM's

Thats what it's there for ... Obviously I try to use it sparingly only for passwords on a bulk level

But members wise - feel free to use it to chat and discuss things with each other if its something that wouldnt benefit from being discussed on the forum ... if it is then keep it on the forum as your far more likely to get a wider feedback and results

The only thing with PM's is that it has in the past been abused by spammy members trying to solicit for signups / bonuses etc by the backdoor ... they generally get reported by members and only then do I start to analyse specific accounts

BOUNTIES

It's ok by me if you want to have any kind of mental bounties, "I bet I get more scalps then you" stuff ... thats totally cool but you'll have to informally admin that kind of stuff yourselves as I need to keep my eye on the ball re: overall structure & leagues scoring etc

AIMS

I'm really hoping we can have at least 10 ideally 20 teams with 10+ members in each asap before we start the next season of leagues early July ... so I'd urge everyone to get into it and concetrate on getting those teams going or getting yourself into a team by then
