Tournament WINNERS - Claim Your Name

THE SHORT

Due to password sharing and posting we are clamping down on non members who should not be playing our games ... or winning our money

Legitimate Members who have different screen names at the poker rooms to their forum name here are urged to CLAIM YOUR NAME in the relavant game specific threads found in this "News & Feedback" section of the forum.

Once the results are in for a specific game if there is an excessive number of unknown players and winners of prize money we will put a specific thread for that game ... it's then up to legit members with non matching names to "claim your name" so that we can then deal with the non members who shouldnt have won money ... the sites will then deal with them, recover the money and at their discression close accounts or freeze them

simple non members are NOT welcome in our private games ... legit members with miss matched names ARE welcome but need to make themselves know to us so we can match up results and prize money

THE LONG

getting really sick of freerolls - they're fine for members who havent got a bankroll and are combining the possibility of winner a few cents / few dollars + playing to get points in the leagues ... which is why as much as I'd like to just drop them all I appreciate for many members they are popular and they are also as an incentive / free chance for members to try new sites ... so they should be kept running

but as said before all suggestions of lists etc etc are not practical time wise (at either my end or the sites end to admin)

we had kicked around the idea of setting up screen names panel on everyone's profiles so I could cross ref all the winning / money / points results to actual members ... that is when you think about it really big additional time drain (for me) to search / correct / allocate etc who / what / where of screen names to forum names ... so on further thought and investigation isnt terribly practical

added to which there are a lot of members (well lets be honest the vast majority of members) who dont really read all instructions that thoroughly ... so we are 99.9% certain to end up with a fancy system which due to being largely incomplete ... wouldnt do the job

so in a moment of genius (possibly) I've come up with a far simplier system - which is far more likely to get results

simple really and was staring me in the face ...

all we need to do is get members who come in the money / come in the top 10 places of one of our tournaments - to verify / claim their screen name at that site / tournament

Any screen names I dont recognise / arent claimed - will be on my list of "take the money back" emails to sites for them to deal with

they may confiscate the cash from their accounts, they may totally freeze the accounts

This should over time give these non welcome non members a big disincentive and make them less likely to play if they know they are not only not going to get to keep cash that they shouldnt be trying to win ... but also end up getting banned from sites and losing whatever cash they have in their accounts.

It also gives genuine member winners a big incentive to claim their name / win ... and will be easy to admin as winners obviously know if they have won or not

Each individual freeroll tournament will be posted in the "feedback and news" section of the forum

Genuine members winners who cannot be identified easily by me need to post their info in that thread - ie. members who have different poker room screen names to the forum names.

Please DO NOT post pointless "great idea" posts in the threads specific to games and names - you can post them here in this one

This wont solve the league points issue - as the admin on that looks to be a nightmare as a result of having to re-jig points whenever anyone claims or doesnt claim a name ... I'll have to suck it an see on that front ... I maybe I can gather top20 places and then re-jig where possible when I have clearly identified a non member and then bump points ... but if you give a brief thought to the admin on that, hopefully you can all see that is going to be a thankless task

the main purpose of the "claim your name" threads is going to be to make 4kingpoker so damn unappealing to these low lives that they stop bothering us ... hopefully if we can catch 1 or 2 from every tournament ... they will tell their buddies "dont play those they closed my account and xyz poker site banned me for life etc"
