Many invitations have been sent out to 10+ post members of the forum for various teams.
The process of receiving an invitation may not be obvious to some. I hope this helps some of the members recognise that they have been invited and by whom.
You will see the notification as in the attached image circled in red. Clicking on this on your own page will open a drop down list as in image. The invite should be listed where the red box is in the list.
And please if you do recieve an invite, accept it or decline with a PM to the team starter.
If you haven't received an invite to join a team and would like to join, PM any of the team starters,
Many thanks,
NF4

I'm not exactly sure dooish to be honest. I'm sure we'll here more about the format soon from Scrawnybob. It looks like opinion sways for moving the freerolls to tuesday and having two Series games on the sunday if bob can stretch
I would like to see it compulsory to be a member of a team to play in the league but exactly how this could be enforced is unsure, and its likely some wouldn't like the idea. Probably better to have that as an aspiration.
I was hoping the thread would stimulate those members with or without invites to contemplate joining a group. We'll see
Obviously our team is the best, but maybe we could eject the worst players and accept better ones at intervals as the league progresses...an incentive to play your best game even if it's a frreroll.
Promotion and relegation each month. What do you think?

Jeez, he has the chopping block out already.
I'm sure the teams will see a natural ebb and flow of players after each series. Maybe a drafting system at the end of series could be introduced based on both individual and team scores.
I think our team members' records speak for themselves, and its a reputation we will put effort into upholding, freeroll or no freeroll!
At present i wouldn't want to be on any other side

team membership to play leagues - not going to happen
hi
just to add - making team membership a pre-requist of being able to play in our league tournaments or any of our private games will NOT happen
site owners decision - non negociable
All of the private tournaments will be open to all and any members who make the required 10+ decent posts
the team thing is at the moment a bolt onto the current leagues (we may get an additional team only league ... but that would be additional)
I dont want to make it anymore complicated or strict to get to play our games
the team thing is a great project and one I hope will in time encompass alot more members but as I can see the raw numbers of how the site works / tournaments work / number of entries relative to how high or low I set the bar for certain passwords etc ... or things like number of posts affects numbers and also how much rules are actually read and followed ... I dont want more complications to the basic membership requirements
It's pretty safe to say we dont want to kill off the diversity of members & vistors who enjoy the site in varying degrees and in different ways - they are all important in different ways
but more rules or prerequisits for membership isnt a way I want to take the forum
I want to add and try as many things as we can but also provide our members and visitors with what they want as well - the teams can and will build naturally with people wanting to play not feeling they have to join a team to play
the more hurdles to jump the fewer will jump them - and that isnt good for the long term health of the forum or the site
cheers scrawnybob

Hi scrawnybob,
Re the above, It was posted almost 2 weeks ago in response to a request from a member of my team, and what was posted was a true reflection of my views at that time. I held those opinions for various reasons, some of which still stand, but I believe I have also gotten to know yourself, and your intended direction of the forum better within this time frame and looking upon it again, I doubt the same comments would flow.
It was never intended as an exclusion policy or to make it harder for anyone, after all how hard is it to accept an invite?
I very much appreciate the effort expended by yourself and others in making 4KP what it is today and I look forward to continuing to contribute in a positive way. The last 2 weeks have hopefully made it clearer to all of us how we can do that, I know it has for me.
